About Us

Dr. Farida Rassiwala is an extensively trained Board certified Psychiatrist. She completed medical school at University of Mumbai ,India in 1998. She went on to complete post graduate training in Psychiatry from a prestigious institution in Mumbai in 2001. She was appointed chief resident, earned first position in the MD examination and obtained additional degrees in Diploma of Psychological medicine and Diplomate of National Board.

She migrated to New York city where she enjoyed a multicultural experience and completed her Psychiatry residency in Brookdale University and Medical Center in 2007. She won awards for outstanding first year resident in her program and for outstanding performance in PRITE exam with scores of 99% ile in Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Rassiwala has since worked in outpatient, community mental health and private practice settings in SC and AZ. She has had the privilege of treating people across diverse cultures and ethnic backgrounds. She has successfully integrated Western and Eastern philosophies in her treatment approach. She utilizes medication management, cognitive behavioral therapy as well as principles of yoga, meditation and zen philosophy in her treatment approach. She is passionate about psychiatry and helping people achieve their treatment goals.
